METALLOGENY OF GOLD DEPOSITS OF THE ARABIAN-NUBIAN SHIELD NORTH-EASTERN PART

The north-eastern part of the Arabian-Nubian shield is an extensive Neoproterozoic tectonic collision zone of thrusts, which is executed by rocks of ofiolitic melange and volcanogenic-metasediments. The metallogeny of gold-quartz-sulfide formation is associated with the Precambrian stage of area prototectonic activization and formation of multiphase alkaline granitoids. Ore zones in granitoids consist of massive quartz with diffused gold and sulphidic minerals. Among the host rocks containing gold mineralized veins are serpentinite and calcareous metavolcanic and metasedimentary rocks contacts with intrusive gabbro and granitoids.

GEOLOGY AND MINERAL RESOURCES OF URHO-KARAMAY DISTRICT (JUNGARIA, NORTH-WEST CHINA)

The geology of the Urho-Karamay district are considered. The data on the main sedimentary deposits of minerals are given. The epigenetic processes occurring in them are analyzed. Their sequence and connection with the formation of minerals are established. The features of a unique geological monument – the The Eolian city are shown.

STRUCTURAL-MATERIAL COMPLEX OF THE MALO-CHIPIKETSK QUARTZ ZONE OF THE PATOMSKY QUARTZ AREA

The geological and structural position of the vein-housing complex of the Malo-Chipiketsk quartz zone, which is part of the Patomsky quartz area of the Pribaikalskaya province, is given. The regularities of placement of quartz veins and the main characteristics of quartz raw materials are determined.

URANIUM MINERALIZATION OF VITIM PALEOVALLEYS DEPOSITS

The results of material composition study of ores of seven paleovalley deposits of Khiagdinsky ore field (Vitim uranium ore district) are summarized. High dispersion of ore substance, that is characteristic for ores, led to the choice of EM as the main method of mineralogical research. The predominant ore component is Ca-phosphate of the tetravalent uranium, ningyoite, which is represented by crystalline and mineraloid forms. The ores are a little-known earlier and are new type of industrial uranium ore for Russia – phosphate black’s.

ASSESSMENT OF THE CONDITION OF OPERATIONAL HYDROGEOLOGICAL WELLS

The description of the process of control inspection of operational hydro-geological wells is given. The technology of determining the filtration parameters of rocks, as well as testing of aquifers is described. Variants are given in which operational hydrogeological wells are subject to repair.

GRAPHITE ORES IN KARELIA: DRESSABILITY AND PROSPECTS FOR INDUSTRIAL USE

The main natural types of graphite ores (coarseflake, fineflake graphite with an admixture of a crypto- and dense crystalline variety graphite) are found in Karelia. Genetic and technological types of ore are distinguished. Their enrichment and possible directions of use in industry are established. Ihala deposit of coarsеflake graphite has commercial assessment. It is one of the largest in Europe by proven mineral reserve.

FORECAST ASSESSMENT OF COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH IN GEOPOLYMER BINDERS BASED ON LOW-CALCIUM FLY ASH

In this work the results of developed method for forecast assessment of low-calcium fly ash reactivity in geopolymer binder. This method was applied for fly ash produces from coal of South Africa. It is based on using of the three followings genetic characteristics of fly ash: specific surface area, content of vitreous phase, polymerization degree of SiO₂ in vitreous phase those were determined experimentally.

PREREQUISITES AND PROSPECTS OF TIN MINING IN THE MAGADAN REGION IN MODERN CONDITIONS

History of extraction of tin in the Magadan region is considered. The conditions favoring and promoting renewal of tin mining in the region are defined. The area tin mineral resources are characterized: stocks and resources, mining-and-geological and geographical and economic characteristics. As a result of ranging prime ore fields of tin for which it is expedient to carry out economic assessment of profitability of their development are selected.
