INFORMATION AND STATISTICAL TECHNOLOGY OF THE MULTIALTERNATIVE FORECAST OF MINERALS

This paper considers features of information and statistical multialternative forecast of useful minerals by a set of geophysical data, using prototype and simulated standards. It gives an example of a probabilistic forecast of hydrocarbon deposits of various geo-structural types in the Vychegodsky aulacogen (Komi Republic). Here given the examples of deep probabilistic simulation of geo-structures by a set of parameters of special points in a magnetic field of one of the areas of Irkutsk region.

SEDIMENTOLOGICAL MODELING IN THE FORECAST AND SEARCH OF NON-STRUCTURAL HYDROCARBON TRAPS

The article is devoted to the methodology of the sedimentation modeling in forecast and search of non-structural hydrocarbon traps, which relies on the integrated use of sedimentological, litho-facial, biostratigraphiсal, field geophysical and seismic methods. The methodology is developed and tested during studies of clastic and carbonate sequences in the West Siberian, East Siberian and Timan-Pechora oil and gas provinces.

CONTEMPORARY CONDITION AND WAYS OF DEVELOPING THE METROLOGICAL SERVICE FOR THE NEEDS OF GEOLOGY

The validity of the initial measurement information obtained in the course of geological-geophysical operations depends on the use of modern metrological methods and means. Optimal and economically sensible system of metrological backing is possible only if there is an adequate metrological support. The paper deals with the means of creating an all-purpose metrological service for the needs of the «Rosgeology» Company.

SCIENTIFIC AND METHODICAL BASIS OF EXPLORATION OF THE SOLID MINERALS OF THE OCEANS: MAIN RESULTS AND PROSPECTS

For more than 40 years marine geological organizations in Russia have been prospecting for three types of solid minerals in the international area of the ocean: ferromanganese nodules (FMN), cobaltmanganese crusts (CMC) and deep-sea polymetallic sulfides (SMS). As a result, the country has three Application areas for FMN, CMC and SMS, where under a 15-year contract with the International Seabed Authority exploration is being conducted in order to prepare for their commercial development. The scientific and methodological basis of the prospecting works is a staging concerted with the methodology on land. In the period of the contract – prospecting, estimation, and exploration with pilot production.

MINERAL RESOURCES OF THE INTERNATIONAL SEABED AREA WORLD OCEAN

The main types of mineral resources (FMN, CMC and DPS) of the international seabed area are described here, including their status in accordance with the Convention UN on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982 and the procedure of activity regulation for their exploration and exploitation. The latest information about the activities of different countries related to the acquisition of the rights for access to the Area Mineral Resources within the powers of the International Seabed Authority is provided here. Also the conceptual approaches of the Russian Federation to solving the task of exploration and exploitation of the FMN, CMC and DPS are reviewed here including the current state of the problem.

THE PROBLEMS OF COLLECTING AND ACCOUNTING FOR GEOLOGICAL INFORMATION ON GROUNDWATER ON THE EXAMPLE OF OMSK REGION

On the territory of the Omsk region is the actual production and use of groundwater for various purposes. This article describes a number of problems that arise in the collection and accounting of geological information on subsurface waters affected by the problem of groundwater depletion and contamination. The article reflects the role of the Omsk branch of FBU «TFGI in the Siberian Federal district» of the formation of information resources, its interaction with the state bodies and subsoil users.

ABOUT THE NECESSITY OF CONVERSION OF THE RUSSIAN CLASSIFICATION OF RESERVES OF SOLID MINERAL RESOURCES FROM THE INTERNATIONAL STANDARD

Most of the deposits of rare metals are located in areas with poor infrastructure, and the development of such deposits requires large investments. For investment in the development of deposits of rare metals need the most reliable information on reserves and resources. In this connection, the article discusses the Russian classification of resources of solid minerals and the necessity of the approval of the international classification of stocks with the purpose of raising capital in the subsoil of Russia.

MINERALOGICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT OF COMPOSITION AND STRUCTURE FEATURES FOR TONODSKAYA AREA MAGNETITE-HEMATITE-MUSCHKETOWITE QUARTZITES RELATED TO THEIR PROCESSING

The mineral composition of fine-grained magnetite-muschketowite-hematite quartzite Tonodskaya area are discussed for the development of the gravity-magnetic processing scheme. Main attention is focused on the heterogeneity of metallic and nonmetallic minerals morphostructural characteristics correlating with their behavior in different separation types. The latter define the formation in natural and industrial crushed ore spectrum of particles and open splices being different in composition and morphology.
