TUNGSTEN MINERAL RESOURCE BASE OF RUSSIA: STATUS AND PROSPECTS

The article examines the current state of the Russian tungsten raw material base (including in comparison with the world one), describes the situation with the production and consumption of tungsten raw materials in Russia, analyzes the raw materials supply of Russian tungsten mining enterprises, and evaluates the prospects for the development of domestic tungsten deposits. It has been shown that despite the size of the Russian tungsten raw material base, there are currently practically no reserve facilities for additional licensing. In this regard, the early stages of geological exploration aimed at identifying new deposits of liquid tungsten ores are relevant. Moreover, their liquidity is largely determined by the economic and geographical location of the facilities, primarily by the state of the transport infrastructure and the remoteness from potential consumers.

Keywords: tungsten, mineral resource base, production, production, consumption, development of deposits, production security, geological exploration.

GEOCHEMICAL RECONSTRUCTION OF GEODYNAMIC EVOLUTION OF BASALT MAGMATISM OF RIFT-SPREADING STRUCTURES IN THE CONTINENT-OCEAN TRANSITION ZONE

A comparative analysis of the geological and geochemical features of basaltic magmatism in the Ethiopian-Red Sea-Indian Ocean and Arctic-Atlantic rift-spreading systems during the transformation of continental crust into oceanic crust was performed. Evolutionary geochemical trends in compositional changes and changes in geodynamic settings for the formation of basalts in the boundary zone were revealed: continental crust → continent-ocean transition crust → oceanic crust. The Gakkel ridge is substantiated as belonging to the submarine ridges developed on the continent-ocean transition type crust. This is a basic argument to consider it as a component of the continental shelf of the Russian Federation.

Keywords: geochemistry, basalt, continental rifts, mid-ocean ridges, Gakkel ridge, Indian ocean, Atlantic ocean.

PRECAMBRIAN GOLD-BEARING FORMATIONS OF IRON QUARTZITES IN MAURITANIA AND TYPES OF IRON ORE DEPOSITS

Banded iron formations (BIF) are the main source of mineral raw materials for ferrous metallurgy and remain the focus of attention of researchers of Precambrian greenstone regions. New areas of their development with significant industrial resources of the metal are being discovered in Africa, South America, China and other countries. In this regard, it is important to study the spatial and temporal relationship of dispersed gold with rocks of ferrous-siliceous Precambrian formations. The potential gold content of Precambrian ferruginous quartzites of North Africa in Mauritania within the Archean Reguibat shield is estimated.

THE ROLE OF THRUSTS IN THE GOLD DEPOSITS OF THE AMUR REGION

Since the beginning of the development of the Pokrovsky gold deposit in the Amur region, emphasis has been placed on the identification and open-pit mining of large-volume, mainly shallow mineralized zones in thrust with multi-level stockwork, low-grade orebodies. They tend to be large, long-lived faults in the region and are often accompanied in allochthon by high-grade gold quartz veins mined underground in the past.

SAVKINSKOE Au-As (±Sb, Hg) OCCURRENCE AS AN EXAMPLE OF CARLIN-LIKE TYPE DEPOSIT IN EASTERN TRANSBAIKALIA

The mineral composition and geochemical features of ores, the isotope composition of sulfur in the sulfide minerals of the Savkinskoe deposit in Eastern Transbaikalia are investigated using up-to-date methods. The richest ore bodies are associated with breccias. The age of dykes of the Shakhtama complex has been determined. The first data obtained on the microelement composition of zircon allow expecting the high ore-bearing potential of dykes. Most probably, flyschoidal sediments of the Bystrinskaya Formation were initially enriched with gold, while disjunctive tectonics along with transformation under the action of hydrothermal (telethermal) fluids promoted gold redistribution and concentration of economic significance. Results obtained in the integrated studies allow us to classify the deposit as the Carlin-like type.

SPACE SPECTRAL-MINERALOGICAL METHOD OF SEARCHING FOR ORE ZONES USING REFERENCE DEPOSITS AND ITS APPLICATION IN EASTERN YAKUTIA

The article presents the fundamentals of the cosmospektral-mineralogical method of prospecting for ore zones using reference deposits. The novelty of the method lies in the improvement of the formula for calculating spectral mineralogical indices, the use of reference deposits to determine the information content of indices in identifying wallrock-altered rocks and creating cosmospektral-
mineralogical forecasting and prospecting models (PPM). Cosmospektral-mineralogical PPM of Arkachansky-type deposits, their prospecting features and criteria have been developed. Ore-promising areas and a zone of altered rocks with a length of 1.1 km and a width of up to 150 m have been identified.

The analysis of the names of technical projects for the development of deposits considered by the CCR-TPI Rosnedra was carried out, which showed typical mistakes made during their compilation using specific examples. It is shown that the name of the technical project gives the first idea of its essence, the professional level of the performers, including whether they have the skills to logically correctly understand the totality of the tasks being solved for the development of deposits not only within the design, but also throughout the entire life cycle of a mining enterprise. The formulated requirements for the title about Comments on typical errors in the considered examples of technical projects allowed us to develop methodological techniques for the logically correct layout of their names that meet the requirements of current regulatory documents.

ANALYSIS OF METHODS OF ROCK SUCTION EXPLORATION IN OFFSHORE PLACER OPERATIONS

It explains how this process determines the technology and hourly productivity of rock removal of submarine sediment rock mass. egardless of the type of hydraulic conveying device used, such as a ground pump, ejector, or airlift, the suction process is carried out under the influence of atmospheric pressure and discharge created by the device. The vacuum suction height determines the effectiveness of the process. It is important to note that either free suction (erosion scouring) or filtration scouring is used when the end of the suction nozzle is immersed in the loose mined layer, also known as suffusion scouring. To maintain the continuity of the suction process, it is necessary to maintain a certain distance between the inlet plane of the suction tip and the rock mass. This requires constant feed rates of the suction tip, even under varying conditions. During the suction of unbound rocks at erosion scouring, powerful vortex formation occurs at the inlet section, leading to the formation of the ultimate suction funnel. The article presents a new equation for calculating head losses in flow movement through a layer of solid, which takes into account multifactor interrelation, including natural slope angle, solid density, hydro-mixture concentration, and drag coefficient.

Keywords: rock removal, suction, funnel excavation method, scrapers, ship, tests, ultimate scour funnel, erosion.
