HIDDEN ORE DEPOSITS TARGETED SEARCHES —THE MOST URGENT TASK OF RUSSIAN GEOLOGY
The article considers the problem of hidden endogenous ore deposits identifying and ways to its solve. Examples are given of individual concealed deposits, including large deposits discovered in early years in Russia and abroad using special geophysical, geochemical and other methods. In the conditions of consistent exhaustion of the fund of easily discovered nearsurface objects in the Russian Federation and in the world as a whole, the need for extensive development of targeted forecasting and searches for hidden ore deposits in our country is justified. Effective implementation of this exploration trend requires the creation of a specialized forcast-search complex of methods, some of which are given in the article.
Keywords: hidden deposits, geochemical and geophysical methods, 3Dmodeling, mineralization criteria, mineralogical studies.

MINERALOGICAL AND GEOCHEMICAL FEATURES OF GOLD IN TERRIGENOUS-CARBONATE DEPOSITS UPPER DEVONIAN – LOWER CARBON OF EASTERN UZBEKISTAN
The relevance of the research lies in assessing the prospects for the gold content of the Middle Paleozoic terrigenous-carbonate rocks Da-St of the Almalyk ore region and determining their scale in order to recommend for further work.An increased gold content is charachterised for terrigenous-carbonate deposits of the Upper Devonian and Lower Carboniferous at the studied objects of the Almalyk region. in gold ore manifestations, the minerals concentrating gold are: ore minerals. pyrite, arsenopyrite, hematite, sphalerite, goethite, vein minerals – quartz dolomites, limestones, terrigenous-carbonate mass. In ad-dition, the highest concentrations of gold-bearing mineralization are observed in metasomatically altered areas manifested by silicification, sulfidization, ferruginization, crushing, seritization and other manifestations. Favorable for the localization of gold, copper, polymetallic and other types of mineralization confined to the terrigenous-carbonate de-posits of the Karatagata and Kulatinskaya suites.
Keywords: Ore minerals, gold, dolomites, oceanization, crushing, sulfides, metasomatism.

THE DISCOVERY OF THE KOSKOLSKOYE DEPOSIT IS A SERIOUS CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE KAOLIN MINERAL RESOURCE BASE IN RUSSIA
The development and strengthening of the mineral resource base of kaolin in the Russian Federation determine the relevance of the development of its resources in the Mugodzhar kaolin-bearing sub-province, primarily the reserves of the primary (eluvial) kaolin of the Koskol deposit. The presence of an explored raw material base is an important argument in favor of the formation in the Chelyabinsk and Orenburg regions of a mineral resource center for economic development in the Southern Urals, specialized in the extraction, enrichment and industrial use of kaolin.
Keywords: kaolin, reserves, import, export, deposits, Orenburg region.

ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION OF ENGINEERING AND GEOLOGICAL PROCESSES IN THE UNDERGROUND DEVELOPMENT OF THE NILYU DEPOSIT
The regularities of formation and distribution of engineering-geological processes in horizontal and inclined mine workings are revealed. The most common types of deformations are collapses, disloca-tions, scree (with rockfalls) of rocks. They occur in areas where there are crossing gaps and large gaping cracks located across and along the mine workings.
Keywords: collapse, dislocations, scree of mine workings, cracks, deformation, ruptures, rock disturbances.

ACTIVATION OF A LANDSLIDE IN THE VILLAGE OF SERGEI-POLE KRASNODAR TERRITORY IN OCTOBER 2021 AND MONITORING OF THE LANDSLIDE PROCESS
The presented material includes the characteristics and parameters of a large landslide that inten-sified in October 2021 in the village of Sergey-Polye, Lazarevsky district of Sochi. The landslide caused significant material damage, in connection with which a municipal emergency regime was introduced. The factors of landslide activation and the results of monitoring of the landslide process are evaluated.
Keywords: landslide, S. Sergey-Field, activation factors, monitoring of the landslide process.

EVALUATION OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL EFFICIENCY OF PROCESSING RARE EARTH RAW MATERIALS CONTAINING RADIOACTIVE ELEMENTS
The article presents an overview of projects for the development of REM deposits in the world. An analysis is made of the applied technologies for processing rare-earth raw materials containing radioactive elements. Also identified are the operating costs for the extraction and processing of 1 ton of ores for different projects. The coefficient of technological and ecological efficiency of REM ores processing is proposed and calculated.
Keywords: rare earth metals (REMs), deposits, projects, radioactive elements, operating costs, tech-nological schemes.

BACK-OF-THE-COLUMN FLOWS IN SPOUTING WELLS ARE A SOURCE OF GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION.
The article is devoted to the problems of separation of horizons in the annulus of casing columns during well repair and liquidation. The article considers the causes of back-column flows, the consequences of griffin formation and ways to prevent and eliminate them using the example of geological exploration wells for solid minerals (TPI), exploration and production wells for water, engineering and technological wells drilled in different years, liquidated and not liquidated after their purpose is fulfilled. Their negative impact on the environment, aquifers, as well as on the economy during their repair and elimination.
Keywords: aquifers, backwash flows, gryphon, gryphon formations, grouting mixtures, viscoelastic fluids.

SOVIET GEOLOGISTS AT THE INTERNATIONAL GEOLOGICAL CONGRESS IN PRAGUE IN 1968
The article is devoted to holding the XXIII session of the International Geological Congress in Czechoslovakia in 1968 and participation of the Soviet delegations in it. For the first time in the history of the congresses, engineering geology and the history of geological knowledge were presented as independent scientific sections. The Congress in Prague was the only one that was interrupted in the course of work. The perception of events by the direct participants of the event from among the Soviet geologists is noted.
Keywords: International Geological Congress, USSR, Czechoslovakia, geologists.
