PRE-MESOZOIC BASEMENT OF THE KURIL-KAMCHATKA VOLCANIC ARC: ITS COMPOSITION AND CHRONOLOGY OF FORMATIVE STAGES

The current concepts on heterogeneity and heterochrony of the pre-Upper Cretaceous basement of the Kuril-Kamchatka volcanic arc are considered. Available U-Pb dates of zircons from the basement rock fragments found in Cenozoic lavas and other products of recent volcanic eruptions are summarized and presented. The continental nature of the the Kuril-Kamchatka region basement is confirmed by the identity of the established age intervals of magmatism (2024–1124; 471-325 and 219–127 Ma) with the formative stages of the Verkhoyansk-Chukchi mobile belt.

Keywords: foundation of the Kuril-Kamchatka arc, stages of formation.

URANIUM CONT ENT OF BLACK SHALES AND «FO RGOTTEN» ORE OCCURRENCES OF NOVAYA ZEMLYA

Black shale formations often contain superclark contents of uranium and other metals, which are considered syngenetic. They also соntain industrial deposits of uranium, nickel-copper and gold, which are considered the result of processing syngenetic concentrations by subsequent metamorphic or exogenous processes. Uranium deposits of this type (Ronneburg ore field) were exploited in Germany in the 1960–1980 and produced about 70 thousand tons of uranium. Similar ore occurrences

are known on the Yuzhny Island of Novaya Zemlya, but they have not received a reliable estimate and have dropped out of state records. At present, in connection with the ongoing policy of the development of the Arctic regions of Russia and the creation of a mine at the Pavlovskoye polymetal

deposit, it is advisable to revise and to receive a new estimate of these objects.

Keywords: black shales, deposits of uranium, nickel-copper, gold.

HISTO RICAL CENTERS OF ORE GOLD MINING IN THE AMUR PROVINCE

It is shown that the Amur province has historically developed three centers of ore gold mining — Western, Southwestern and Eastern. They are confined to the central part of the province, represented by the collision junction of the Aldan-Stanovoy, Mongol-Okhotsk and Amur geoblocks. The

regional faults bounding the geoblocks appear to have served as ore-bearing structures. The centers differ in the number, parameters, and formational affiliation of gold deposits, the amount of gold produced, the duration of gold mining, and the ratio of ore and placer gold produced. It is assumed that

these centers will continue to play the role of the main suppliers of ore gold. The most promising are the South-western and Eastern centers.

Keywords: gold mining center, province, gold deposit, placer, gold ore formation.

METAMORPHISM AND ITS EFFECT ON THE DISTRIBUTION OF IMPURITY ELEMENTS (USING THE EXAMPLE OF COAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN)

The influence of regional and contact metamorphism of coals on the geochemical spectrum of coal deposits of Uzbekistan is considered. It is established that the processes of regional metamorphism, considered on the example of Middle Jurassic coal deposits of Surkhandarya basin, lead to an increase in the content of most elements of impurities in coals. When studying the contact impact of magmatic bodies on coal, by the example of Shargun, Boysun, Kugitang, Sanzhar and Hauz

deposits, a zone of depletion of coals by elements impurities, measured by the first centimeters, is revealed.

Keywords: сoal, Uzbekistan, coal metamorphism, elements of impurities.

THE ROL E OF ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY TO MOGRAPHY AND ELECTROMAGNETIC SOUNDING IN SEARCH AND ASSESSMENT WORKS FO R THE WATER SUPPLY OF OZERNY GOK

The purpose of the search and evaluation hydrogeological works in the basin of the Zaza River was to provide technological water supply to the objects of the Ozerny GOK. Two methods electrotomography and the method of electromagnetic sounding and induced polarization (EMS-IP) were used to

define hydrogeological wells. Drilling, logging and experimental filtration woks confirmed the watered fault zones, the boundaries of permafrost were determined, in which interpermafrost taliks and a layer of “sluggish” permafrost were identified, characterized by low values of electrical resistivity.

ANALY SIS OF PRISM REFLECTO R ERRORS IN DETERMINING COORDINATES OF POINTS INVISIBLE FROM TACHEOMETER INSTALLATION PLACE DURING KARST DIPS EXAMINATION

It is shown how a prismatic reflector is used for research purposes, as well as the results of mathematical analysis of errors that occur when using a prismatic reflector. Mathematical analysis of errors is necessary to determine the coordinates of points located in the zone of a mine-type karst formation

that is invisible from the point of standing of the total station. The possibility of using the device during engineering surveys for construction is justified. Accuracy calculations using the theory of measurement errors are described. Formulas for calculating the error (UPC) of determining the coordinate

differences of the observed marks are presented. The value of the mean square error (UPC) of determining the angle of inclination of the reflector that dominates the measurements is obtained.

Keywords: mathematical justification, analysis of additional errors, mean quadratic error.
