FORMATION OF THE PROSPECTING RESERVE BASED ON THE GEOLOGICAL AND GEOCHEMICAL DATA TO INCREASE THE REPRODUCTION OF THE MINERAL BASE OF THE SIBERIA AND FAR EASTERN FEDERAL DISTRICTS

In order to identify possibilities for expanding the mineral base of the Siberia and Far Eastern Federal Districts, the prognostic geochemical map of the Russian Federation, scale 1:2,5 M, was updated using data from relevant geochemical maps at a scale of 1:1M and 1:200k. This enabled identification of 272 new anomalous geochemical areas in the rank of ore region / cluster promising for the discovery of large and unique deposits of Au, Ag, Hg, W, Sn, Pb, Zn, Cu, Mo, U, TR, etc. The identified highly promising anomalous geochemical areas made it possible in a relatively short time to replenish and expand the mineral base of these mineral districts.

MESOZOIC PLATE COVER OF THE CIRCUMPOLAR ARCTIC: STRUCTURE, COMPOSITION, FORMATIVE CONDITIONS, AND CONTINUITY.

Based on the results of geological and geochemical studies carried out by the authors at 5 areas in the Barents-Kara and Amerasian basins of the Circumpolar Arctic, including participation in the expedition “Arctic-2012”, the lithologic and stratigraphic correlation schemes of the terrigenous and volcanogenic sequences of the Mesozoic and Mesozoic plate were compiled schemes of the evolution of the facies conditions of the formation of these formations for the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. The revealed continuity of the distribution of Cretaceous volcanic-terrigenous complexes in the system: coastal land — shelf — archipelagos — deep-sea uplifts and the basin of the Arctic Ocean are introduced as one of the key criteria in justifying the expansion of the outer boundary of the continental shelf of the Russian Federation.

Keywords: terrigenous sequences, basic volcanic rocks, correlation of lithological-stratigraphic sections, facies formative conditions of terrigenous sequences, Mesozoic plate cover of the Arctic, outer boundary of the continental shelf, the Arctic Ocean.

GEOLOGICAL BENCHMARKS AND TECHNOGENIC FACTORS: COMPARISON OF THE PERIGLACIAL ENVIRONMENTS AS DISPLAYED BY THE GEMAS EUROPEAN PROJECT (MID-EUROPEAN PLAINS) AND MGKHK-1000 (THE DON GLACIAL LOBE, MAPSHEET M-38)

According to the results of the stream sediment survey (scale 1:1М, MPGM-1000) covering the western part of the M-38 mapsheet, a territory where the Don glacial lobe was located, a moderately variable geochemical field of the Zc variable was encountered, being of significant connectivity and pronounced NNE anisotropy, combined with random local (point) deviations. The positive plateau-like structures of the Zc field, decreasing to WSW-SW in accordance with the change in landscape-climatic zones and regional tectonic structures, are separated by relatively narrow zones of depressions spatially corresponding to those parts of the river valleys where the covers of loose aeolian deposits occur. The latter, which are known to be depleted in most trace elements, play the role of a geological benchmark, which ensures control of the results of small-scale mapping performed using geostatistical techniques. A comparison of the nature of the geochemical field, the method of its registration and structural features in the area of the Don glacial lobe and in the marginal zone of the same-age glacier, located in different landscape and climatic conditions on the territory of Central and Western Europe, where small-scale geochemical survey was carried out on agricultural soils within the framework of projects GEMAS and LUCAS.

GEOCHEMICAL TYPIFICATION OF GOLD AND SILVER-BEARING DEPOSITS AS A BASIS FOR DETERMINING THE ORE-FORMATION AFFINITY OF THE PREDICTED MINERALIZATION DURING REGIONAL GEOCHEMICAL EXPLORATION

The importance of assessing the ore-formation affinity of the predicted mineralization in the course of regional geochemical exploration is shown. Various approaches to predicting secondary halos and scattering fluxes are discussed. Results of the typification of gold- and silver-bearing deposits are given with the allocation of the following hierarchical levels of formation units: groups — formations — geochemical (mineral) types. An algorithm for assessing the ore-formation type of predicted mineralization based on results of regional geochemical exploration has been developed.

MINERAL AND GEOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND ASSESSMENT OF INDUSTRIAL PROSPECTS FOR GOLD-SILVER MINERALIZATION IN THE OLOY ZONE

On the basis of field and laboratory studies, generalization of prospecting geological and geochemical data, the characteristics, conditions for the formation and localization of a new type of gold-silver mineralization in the Oloy zone have been determined. The material composition of ores has been studied, the homogenization temperatures and the concentration of salts in gas-liquid inclusions have been determined; assumptions have been made about 2 stages of the formation of gold-silver mineralization and its connection with diorite-granodiorite plutonogenic and subvolcanic formations. Mineralogical and geochemical criteria for classification and the model of vertical zoning of new type gold-silver prospects have been developed. The level of the erosion cut for studied ore occurrences and their industrial prospects are estimated.

PECULIARITIES OF MINERAL COMPOSITION OF PLACER GARNET-CONTAINING DEPOSITS OF THE WHITE SEA COAST, DETERMINING THE TECHNOLOGY OF THEIR PROCESSING

Industrial interest in abrasive materials, especially in garnet sands, emerged almost immediately after the collapse of the USSR, when the main sources of raw materials were outside Russia. The most popular was the placer garnet sand, which is used for waterjet cutting and sandblasting operations, as well as for free grinding of glass and porcelain and the production of grinding powders. The coastal zone of the White Sea is considered promising for the discovery of alluvial deposits of abrasive garnet sands. At present, their industrial significance has been established.
