TECHNOLOGY OF REGIONAL GEOCHEMICAL WORKS IN TYPICAL LANDSCAPE CONDITIONS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION TERRITORY

Three main types of landscape conditions in the territory of Russia are identified. They determine the choice of technology for regional geochemical works (GW). Rational informative GW technologies in various landscape conditions are substantiated. In the practice of the regional GW the following technologies are proposed to introduce: for open areas – modified lithochemical sampling after leakage fluxes, for semi-covered and covered areas – sampling after sorption-salt secondary halos and leakage fluxes.

Keywords: regional geochemical works, landscape conditions, open areas, semi-closed and closed areas, lithochemical secondary halos, lithochemical leakage fluxes.

CONDITIONS OF FORMATION OF THE VIEN QUARTZ OF THE MALO-CHIPEKETSKY ZONE OF THE PATOM QUARTZ AREA ON THE RESULTS OF RESEARCHES OF FLUID INCLUSIONS

The fluid inclusions of vein quartz of the Malo-Chipiketsky zone of the Patom quartz area were studied using thermobarogeochemical methods. It was established that fluids of water-carbon dioxide composition with impurities of nitrogen and methane participated in the mineral formation. The composition of the inclusion solutions was studied by the thermocryometric method. The salt composition of the solutions of primary inclusions contains lithium, sodium and potassium chlorides, and the secondary ones – potassium chloride. The research results indicate epigenetic quartz-vein mineralization, the formation of which is associated with the activity of deep fluid systems and the release of silica during the metamorphism of terrigenous-sedimentary rocks.

Keywords: quartz-vein mineralization, fluid inclusions, homogenization, cryometry, Raman spectroscopy.

KULIKОLON – THE UNIQUE OPTICAL FLUORITE DEPOSIT. TO THE HISTORY OF OPENING

In 1933, as part of the activities of the Tajik-Pamir Expedition, the best scientific personnel went to explore the subsoil of the Republic of Tajikistan. The Geological survey party of the Institute of Applied Mineralogy (since 1935 VIMS) is being created. Its tasks included the search for optical raw materials in the area of the Kulikalon Lake. July 24, 1933, a unique deposit of optical fluorite was discovery. In the first year of exploration, about 5 tons of high-quality raw materials were extract from ore nests. Separate druses of transparent colorless fluorite were weighing up to 200 kg. Mining operations on the Kulikolon deposit ended in 1954.

Keywords: Tajik-Pamir Expedition, optical fluorite, Kulikolon, Institute of Applied Mineralogy, Zeravshan-Gissar Province, synthetic fluorite.

APPRAISAL OF CHROME ORES BENEFICIATION OF AKKARGINSKIY DEPOSIT BY TECHNOLOGICAL MINERALOGY METHODS

Focused leading mineralogical research of disseminated chrome ore Akkarginskiy deposit allowed to establish its textural and structural features, mineral composition, species variety of spinel, and physical properties of mineral aggregates by technological mineralogy methods. This approach allowed to determine the behavior of mineral aggregates and individuals in technological processes and recommend gravity method as the main method of ore beneficiation.

Keywords: chrome ore, technological properties, mineralogical and analytical methods, preparation, technological mineralogy.

FORECASTING OF NATURAL TECHNOLOGICAL RISKS IN THE AREA OF INFLUENCE OF THE FUTURE OF THE ELKONSK MINING METALLURGICAL COMBINE (ALDAN SHIELD, REPUBLIC OF SAHA, YAKUTIA)

Relevance of the research. The relevance of the research is determined by the need to correct significantly the environmental activity in mining plants and include the impact assessment and consequences forecast. The development of uranium deposits has particular characteristics including the useful component features and also mining and geotechnological methods. Correspondingly, that requires a special system for mining and environmental monitoring of the environment to forecast and correct the environmental activity. The research objective: to forecast the hazardous radioecological processes during the development of gold and uranium objects in the Elkonskiy ore district; to develop a set of measures to organize the geoecological research to monitor the level of anthropogenic load, state of natural objects, and to correct the environmental protection measures for the Elkonskiy Mining and Metallurgical Plant (the Republic of Saha).

The objects of research: The gold and uranium objects of the Elkonskiy uranium ore district (the Republic of Saha). The research methods include the analysis and generalization of our own results carried out earlier, the literature data, and the theoretical and experimental research.

The research results: The results of the carried out radioecological research in the designed mining and metallurgical plant are presented. The problems and methods to assess the radiation situation and to rank the anthropogenic radionuclide contamination during the development of the Elkonskiy uranium ore deposits are considered.

Keywords: natural and anthropogenic pollution, geoecological risk, environmental protection, gold, uranium, deposit, radiation impact, radioecology, mining and environmental monitoring.

TECHNOGENIC ENVIRONMENTAL HERITAGE GOLD MINING INDUSTRY OF EASTERN SIBERIA

In article the reasons of accumulation of mercury in technogenic tails of gold mining since the end of the nineteenth century to the modern industrial period are opened. It is established that the long period of operation of tailings dams, can lead up to 100 tons of technogenic mercury to accumulation. Forms of finding of metal in technogenic mineral educations are studied, the analysis of migration properties of mercury is carried out, mechanisms of pollution of superficial water currents are tracked. An assessment of potential danger of technogenic pollution is given by mercury of areas of traditional gold mining. For prevention of negative environmental impacts in the region it is offered to nature protection bodies to carry out inventory of the tailings dams containing mercury and to introduce amendments in the procedure of obtaining permission to users of nature on placement of production wastes.

Keywords: mining waste, material structure, mercury, environmental pollution.
