Determination of the source of gold placers is of great practical and scientific importance for the prediction of gold-bearing objects. The possibility of localization of a probable source of gold placers opens including the analysis of the morphology and granulometry of gold. This article presents the results of the analysis of gold from alluvial deposits, as well as man-made formations located in the valleys of the streams Snezhnyj and Kuranah (Republic of Sakha). The results of the enrichment of ores of deposits of this type are given, which prove the possibility of obtaining from the latter barite concentrate of class A («non-drilling» barite) and allowing a positive assessment of the prospects for creating a resource base in the region. Activation of work on the search for and involvement in the production of residual deposits will reduce the problem of providing consumers with high-quality raw materials and reduce existing imports. (Norilsk branch of VSEGEI) // starostinvk@yandex.ru TO THE ISSUE OF CHOOSING THE OPTIMAL ALTITUDE OF AN AIRCRAFT FLIGHT DURING OF AIRBORNE GAMMA-SPECTROMETRIC SURVEY A model of attenuation of gamma-radiation above the earth’s surface has been constructed by analyzing the literature sources and by using the actual material. The altitude of the AGSM survey at a low relief is substantiated at 70-90 meters. Increase of the survey altitude up to 120 meters is possible in conditions of mountain relief, and also in case of integration of AGSM with other geophysical methods. The technical instruction of airborne gamma-spectrometric survey, was approved in 1977, is obsolete, so there is an urgent need for the development of modern instructional documentation and the adoption of relevant special terminology. (Uralnedra) // zhukyelena@mail.ru THE OPERATIONAL RESERVES OF UNDERGROUND WATER IN IMPAIRED WATER HYDROGEOLOGICAL CONDITIONS OF THE URAL OROGEN The current practice of assessing the provision of estimated operational groundwater reserves (EOGR) of the vast majority of small and medium (up to several thousand m3/day) deposits (water intake areas) within the Ural Hydrogeological Folded Region (UHFR) is based on quantitative indicators of underground runoff and attracting surface waters of transit rivers (streams) in the designed low-flow periods. This approach does not take into account the close relationship between the underground and surface runoff in the open hydrogeological structures, which underestimates the resource potential of the estimating and exploring deposits (sites) and often functioning water intakes by 1,5–2,5 or more times. The article analyzes the quantitative assessment of the river runoff’s participation in the creation of EOGR of water supply facilities at all stages of the geological process of capturing groundwater and specific recommendations are given to refine the assessment of the provision of estimated EOGR, which will significantly increase the effectiveness of these works. (IGM SB RAS) // geoleo@igm.nsc.ru NEW APPROACHES IN THE METHOD OF COUNTING MULTI-COMPONENT ORE RESERVES (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE TOMTOR ORE FIELD) A new approach to calculating the reserves of complex rare-earth ores of the Northern and Southern sections of the Tomtor ore field, carried out according to the results of the assessment work carried out by the Yakutskgeology in 2015-2016, is presented. New scientific and methodological components have been developed for estimating reserves of rare-earth ores in the North and South sections of four on-board content based on the conversion of useful components into conditional niobium (Nb2O5) while regulating various geological and industrial parameters of the original ore. The results of an optional calculation of the reserves of rare-earth ores in the Northern and Southern sections of the Tomtor ore field are obtained. The corresponding technical and economic calculations for the feasibility study of temporary exploration standards have been carried out. Within the combining extraction method the forms of loosely-bonded elements including water-soluble, exchangeable, complex and specifically sorbed compounds have been selected. (VIMS) // devrich@mail.ru ORE-CONTROLLING FACTORS AND ESTIMATION OF WOLFRAMTONES INDIVIDUAL TERRITORIES CENTRAL SIKHOTE-ALIN Ore-controlling factors determining the space-time position of W-ore objects in the folded-block structure of Sikhote-Alin are characterized, as well as the most important search criteria and features used to assess the prospects of tungsten content and localization of search areas. The results of spectral-correlation analysis of gravity and magnetic data sheet L-53-VI (fields Dg and DТ scale 1:200 000), which allowed to reproduce (outline) in the values of the densities (g/cm3) and conventional units of magnetization of rocks potentially ore-bearing volume of the subsoil in the area of sheet L-53-VI and to allocate, within its limits, the situation close to their geological and geophysical characteristics to the reference ore areas and knots of Primorsky Krai (East, Lermontov RU). Within the limits of sheet L-53-VI the prospecting sites of the grade “ore node-field”, perspective on revealing of skarn-sheelite-sulfide deposits with rich ores (from 0,3% to 5,5-7,06%, WO3 and more) are designated and contoured. (Institute of mineralogy of the Ural division of RAS) // ryzhkov@mail.ru GEOLOGY AND PETROGRAPHY OF DEPOSITS OF VEIN QUARTZ «PESCHANOE» (SOUTH URAL) The article presents actual data on the geological position of quartz veins formed during the process of filling open cracks in the granite massif. Change the granites, developed places in the mylonites and blastomylonites and the presence of quartz grains distinct traces of brittle and plastic deformations indicate cataclastic metamorphism after the formation of quartz veins. The study of quartz aggregates and investigation of gas-fluid inclusions in grains of white, milky white and grey quartz allowed us to determine the temperature range of eutectic at cryothermometric data and the maximum temperature of homogenization 356 ºС and minimum 241 ºС–257 ºС. These data indicate that the hydrothermal formation of quartz veins at the temperature of 300 ºC–360 ºС. Recrystallization of quartz in the process of the volumetric strain occurred at temperatures 200 ºС–270 ºС. (VSEGEI) // Sergey_Sokolov@vsegei.ru METHODS OF QUANTITATIVE RESOURCE ASSESSMENT ACCORDING TO THE GEOCHEMICAL DATA FROM POTENTIALLY ORE AREAS AT THE STAGE OF REGIONAL STUDY OF THE SUBSOIL Methods of forecast resources assessment reflected in the current normative methodological documents are considered in terms of the critical approach. The method proposed by the authors, unlike the one, taken from the instruction, provides for the assessment of resources for higher-ranks ore objects, taking into account the share of commercial metal as well as on the basis of the theoretically grounded and practically widely tested system of parameters selecting as well as selecting of characteristics for anomalies and predicted mineralization. Resource assessments obtained with use of the method proposed are much more adequate to the prospecting and exploration data than the one, taken from the instruction. (Institute of «Radiation problems» of the national Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan) // hfamil@mail.ru GAMMA–SPECTROMETRIC ANALYSIS OF THE RADIONUCLIDE COMPOSITION OF THE DASH-SALAKHLINSKY BENTONITE CLAY AND THE ROLE OF DIFFUSION PROCESSES IN RADIONUCLIDE MIGRATION This article deals with the analysis of the radionuclide composition of dash-Salakhlin bentonite clay and the role of diffusion processes in the migration of these radionuclides. With this purpose g-spectrometric method of analysis were used. It is shown that very high radioactivity of bentonite clay is associated with a high content of 40K, 226Ra, 232Th in its composition and is caused by active exogenous and endogenous migration processes. (Environmental Geosciences Institute RAS) // vmakeev@mail.ru DEVELOPMENT OF METHODS OF EVALUATION OF SURFACE RUNOFF ON AN EXAMPLE OF THE TERRITORY OF VERKHNEKAMSK DEPOSIT OF POTASSIUM AND MAGNESIUM SALTS During the research for the first time a model of the surface runoff net of river Usolka, located within the central part of the Verkhnekamsk deposit of potassium and magnesium salts (VDPMS) was created. The model considers streams of different orders, closed local relief depressions, catchment basins and their morphometric and hydrological indices. The proposed methods allow to identify zones of increased moisture, which is accompanied by increased infiltration of surface water into the rocks, that leads to the development of suffusion and karst processes. The criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the technologies being developed are substantiated. It examines the state of production, export-import of ferroalloys and its mineral resource base. The heavy deficit of reserves of rich manganese and chromium ores covered by expensive imports is shown. Recommendations on import substitution of scarce raw materials through development and implementation of effective technologies of poor and persistent ores processing at the previously explored deposits, and also revealing and development of new economically acceptable deposits are offered.
