MODERN PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNOLOGICAL MINERALOGY
Showing difficulties in conducting applied mineralogy research of solid minerals. Objective problem are natural features of modern polimineral ores: composition, alternating granular composition, often high dispersion, complex morphometrics minerals. Subjective problems associated with technical and economic factors, metrological, methodical and personnel providing mineralogical works.

GEOLOGICAL STRUCTURE AND PETROGRAPHY OF KIMBERLITE PIPES
Carried out investigations of geological structure and material composition of the Siberian platform kimberlites indicated complexity and diversity of geologic-tectonic and paleogeographical situations, which should be considered when performing forecast-prospecting works on diamonds in each specific region. Depending on geologic-geophysical and geomorphological situation of kimberlite diatremes’ occurrence specific features of their forecasting and prospecting are determined. Knowledge of material composition of both sought-for diatremes and hosting and overlapping them sedimentary and magmatic formations is an important criterion for prospecting of kimberlite bodies in various geologic-tectonic conditions. Special attention should be paid to typomorphic specific features of both initial and newly formed minerals in diatremes.

MINING AND INDUSTRIAL WASTE AND ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY
The paper describes major types of the environmental impact that occurs due to the exploration and mining of solid minerals. The ecological situation caused by the extraction and processing of solid mineral materials in the mining regions, as well as the environmental consequences of the mining and industrial waste accumulation are demonstrated. The results of environmental monitoring of industrial cities of the Russian Federation are presented.

ANTICIPATORY MINERALOGY RESEARCH – BASIS FOR PREDICTING THE TECHNOLOGICAL PROPERTIES AND CHOICE OF OPTIMUM TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS
Data on mineral composition of initial raw materials and products of his chemical-metallurgical processing with diagnostics of all mineral phases, quantitative assessment of their contents, stay forms in the studied product of a useful component allow to predict the choice of technology of extraction of useful components, as well as technological indicators of ore processing. Given the various pyro-hydrometallurgical scheme of processing of mineral raw materials.

MINERAL-TECHNOLOGICAL EVALUATION OF ZEOLE-CONTAINING ROCKS OF EAST TRANSBAIKALIA AS A BASIS FOR ESTABLISHING EFFECTIVE TECHNOLOGIES OF THEIR PROCESSING
The problems of the technological and mineralogical evaluation of zeolite-containing rocks are considered. A rational complex of mineral-analytical methods for studying of natural zeolites is proposed. The tasks of mineralogical support for the creation of highly efficient schemes for the technological redistribution of zeolite-containing rocks have been determined. The need to use methods to increase the contrast of technological properties in the separation of mineral associations that are part of zeolite-containing rocks has been determined.

MINERALOGICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL ESTIMATION OF ORE FROM THE ANOMALOUS ZONE KOVDOR DEPOSIT
The paper presents the results of mineralogical and metallurgical studies of ore from the Anomalous Zone of the Kovdor baddeleyite-apatite-magnetite deposit. As demonstrated, the ore has a complex geological structure, and contains, along with the major minerals (magnetite, apatite, and baddeleyite) the accessory minerals of the pyrochlore group, hatchettolite and zirkelite. Studies of the mineral and chemical composition of the ore, as well as the metallurgical properties of the ore minerals demonstrated that zirkelite and hatchettolite occur as super-fine intergrowings and are best liberated into the 10-30 µm grain size fraction, so these minerals very easily join the slimes. Thus, due to the natural properties of the host Ta and Nb minerals and metallurgical features of the ore, the development of the extraction techniques for these metals (Ta and Nb) is problematic.

ABOUT PERSPECTIVES OF STUDYING KIMBERLITE INDICATOR MINERALS
Analysis of the results of carried out investigations of mantle modules in kimberlite diatremes of main diamondiferous regions of the Siberian platform was made. Detailed complex investigations of diamond and its paragenetic accessory minerals allow establishing material-indicative parameters of kimberlite magmatism of various productivity and geologic-structural position of kimberlite bodies, and address issues about primary sources of placer diamonds, as well. The presence in kimberlites of definite groups of depth xenoliths and xeno-grains of their minerals, chemical and geochemical composition of kimberlites allowed formulating a concept about properties of upper mantle formations, being the source of magma for each of distinguished type of kimberlites. Upgrading the line of research on creation of more efficient ore processing flowsheets and providing crystal-integrity technologies, expansion of diamond application areas with consideration of their real structure and physical features, as well as revelation of natural targets with increased quality of diamond raw material, are all related with investigation of primary indicator minerals of kimberlites.

PROBLEMS OF BOXITE PROCESSING AND ENRICHMENT, WASTE MANAGEMENT
The problem of enrichment of aluminum ores is due to the fact that bauxite-forming minerals have similar density, dispersed character and subtle intergrowth. Therefore, the development and improvement of methods for the enrichment and processing of bauxite continue. The work shows the effect of physical and chemical factors on iron minerals with the goal of transforming them into magnetite, to increase the magnetic phase. Influence of various kinds of energetic influences on bauxite raw materials and red mud is established, under which the magnetic properties and phase composition change, the concentrations of certain minerals change.

MINERALOGICAL-TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH PRAVOURMIYSKOE TIN ORE DEPOSIT (THE KHABAROVSK TERRITORY)
The article contains data on the mineralogical research of the ore from the Pravoormysky tin ore deposit. The authors determined the structural and texture characteristics of the ore, its mineral composition, and also studied the physical and technological properties of minerals. The data obtained can be used to improve the field development technology.

DIAGNOSTIC METHOD OF QUARTZ ENRICHMENT
New diagnostic method of enrichment of quartz raw materials, including the definition of the initial content in quartz is isomorphic impurities and assessment of possibilities for introduction of trace impurities in the crystalline structure of the mineral technology redistribution was developed. Expose quartz concentrates to microwave radiation was proposed for receiving product with a minimum content of isomorphic impurities. The method can be used for definition of a limit of enrichment of quartz raw materials and finding of the main modes of technological processing.

morphostructural ANALYSIS of mineral substanse: X-ray Computed tomography
Prospects of X-ray Computed (micro)Tomography for morphostructural analysis in the field of technological mineralogy studies are discussed. The method is used when solving applied tasks in a complex of modern laboratory physical testing methods of mineral raw materials to obtain data on mineral composition, texture, granules morphology, porosity volume; to separate ore and rock-forming minerals, and the quality prognosis. Morphostructural peculiarities in quantitative estimation may be obtained by XCT fast non-destructive testing as the basis for preliminary raw mineral matter quality evaluation.

RAPID DIAGNOSIS CLAY-HYDROLOGIST MINERALIZATION BASED ON SPECTROMETRY IN THE RANGE UV-VIS-NIR
The conducted studies of a representative sample of core samples of the Stolbovoye uranium deposit (Russia) showed a high degree of reliable identification of micaceous minerals (muscovite, phenygite, paragonite, sericite, illite) and clay (kaolinite, montmorillonite) groups, siderite and chlorite by the UV-Vis-NIR- spectrometry, which allows you to quickly map epigenetic changes in rocks during geological exploration and technological mapping of deposits.
