RESEARCHES IN THE FIELD OF MEDICAL GEOLOGY IN THE REPUBLIC OF BASHKORTOSTAN
A wide range of geological structures (platform, foredeep, folded area) and rocks (sedimentary, volcanic, magmatic, metamorphic rocks of different composition, structure and age), which determines the diversity of the microelement profile of the biosphere, allows to use the territory of the republic as a unique scientific ground for studying biological role of geological factors. The first works to study correlation between different diseases and microelements of the area of residence in the Republic of Bashkortostan were carried out in the 1960s of the last century, and in this respect the region is one of the leaders. In the beginning of the 2000s, under the auspices of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan, a comprehensive medical geological study of the regional features of the microelemental and thyroid status of the population was carried out for the first time, depending on the geological conditions of the locality. Further work was devoted to the study of the role of regional geology in the development of diabetes mellitus and malignant neoplasms. The obtained results testify the prospects of scientific research at the junction of medicine, geology and ecology and the expediency of further in-depth study of the biological role of geological factors with the expansion of the spectrum of medical problems.

Prediction of the nature of environmental risks in the area of development of Novohoperskogo sulphide ore deposits (Voronezhskaya oblast)
Presents the results of ecological-geological monitoring some sites Novohopersks ore district of Voronezh region. Analysis of the influence of the chemical composition of deep mineral waters on the surface ecosystem. The leading role of Radium has been identified as a source of radon. Outlines the direction the environmental justification for the fields development.

THE IMPACT OF ECOLOGICAL FACTORS ON THE WELLBEING OF THE POPULATION IN THE TYUMEN AND KALININGRAD TERRITORIES RUSSIAN FEDERATION
The data оn population health for Tyumen and Kaliningrad territories have been processed and compared. The assessment of health and social safety was derived from the applied sociological methodology of primary quantitative research. Medical and social research are important to the identification and assessment of natural, anthropogenic as well as technological factors having geological origin that could threaten human health. It can help those responsible for environmental policy development and decision making in the Tyumen and Kaliningrad territories in optmization the impact of negative environmental factors on the population health.

ECOLOGICAL AND GEOCHEMICAL STUDIES AS THE BASIS FOR FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF MEDICAL GEOLOGY IN NATIONAL RESEARCH TOMSK POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY
The article presents the results of ecological and geochemical investigations at Geoecology and Geochemistry Department of National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University. Study of various natural components, biological substrates and ash residue of human body shows that their elemental composition is influenced by natural and anthropogenic factors. The change of chemical composition reflects in the manifestation of several diseases. The obtained ecogeochemical data are the basis for the formation and development of medical geology ideas.

ENVIRONMENTAL GEOCHEMISTRY AND HUMAN HEALTH: GENERAL AND REGIONAL ASPECTS IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION AND CRIMEAN REGION
The results of current approaches implemented to assess the interaction «environment-human health» at regional, sub-regional and local levels of monitoring are summarized. Multiple objectives were considered: detection of the ecologicaly unfriendly territories for human health and local cohort studies provide integration of medical and ecological data for the qualitative assessment of the priority geochemical factors influence on functional state of humans at these territories.

ARSENIC IN ARTESIAN DRINKING WATER IN NORTHERN DAGHESTAN AND HEALTH RISKS
The geochemical features of artesian waters in the northern part of the Dagestan Republic used for drinking water supply by the population more than 500 thousand peopleare discussedin the article. The content of arsenic in drinking water exceeds the permissible level up to 50 times. The cancer health risks results were found to be higher than permissible value of 1×10-6. To assess the exposure of the population and to establish the association between the arsenic impact and its accumulation in the human body, biomonitoring was carried out in the populated area with a reliably high arsenic level in drinking water.

FLUORIDE IN BULGARIAN GROUNDWATER: MEDICAL-GEOLOGICAL ASPECTS
The content of fluoride in fresh ground water of Bulgaria is mainly below 1 mg/l, regardless of whether they are formed in rocks with different age, origin, chemical and mineralogical composition. There are less than 20 inhabited places in Southern Bulgaria where fluoride concentration in groundwater is above permissible. The maximum concentrations of fluoride are registered in vicinity of the town of Kazanlak – 23-24 mg/l. Origin of fluoride of this area is due to the high possibility of F-leaching at high temperatures and pH from various fluoride minerals. The results of epidemiological studies indicate a high prevalence of teeth caries of people permanently residing in regions with a deficiency of fluoride in drinking water. Increased fluorine content in drinking water causes an increase in the morbidity of population of teeth fluorosis.

INFLUENCE OF CATASTROPHIC GEOLOGICAL PHENOMENA ON HEALTH OF POPULATION OF URBANIZED TERRITORIES
Earthquakes always struck the psyche of the population with their suddenness and tragic consequences. It was studied course of the glaucoma of patients with long-term stress-inducing factors related to the powerful Tashkent earthquake (1966). The fact is revealed that throughout the more than six months of a strong earthquake, people who have glaucoma or are predisposed to it are experiencing intense changes in intraocular pressure. Research carried out opens up new possibilities for studying the ways in which the environment can affect the organ of sight in connection with various pathological processes occurring in it.

FOR QUESTION OF USE ADVANCED COAL-CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGIES TO RECEIVE AND LIQUID FUEL
The necessity of use coals not only in their traditional methods of usage, but in the processing into gaseous and liquid state is substantiated with purpose of partial replacement of natural petroleum and gas in power engineering and petroleum-gas-chemistry. Perspective combine technology – borehole hydrospurt technology and underground gasification is considered; the advantages and possibilities of development this directin of up-to-date coalchemistry in order to recive from gas of underground gasification coal artificial liquid fuel are noted.

INFORMATION SYSTEM OF INDICATORS OF ECONOMIC SECURITY IN GEOLOGICAL-ECONOMIC MONITORING AT THE LEVEL OF THE REGION
Expenditure portal of economic security of the region as a tool for conducting an integrated assessment of the level of economic security. The authors proposed an information system containing representative indicators for assessing the current state of economic security indicators in geological and economic monitoring at the regional level and the forecast for long-term development.
