WAYS OF IMPROVING THE HIGHER GEOLOGICAL EDUCATION

Aspects of preparation of engineers-geologists in modern conditions are considered. Problems in system of the geological education, connected with a condition of mineral resources of the country and new elements of optimization of the higher education are noted. It is necessary to consider historical experience of preparation of mountain engineers in Russia in definition of a trajectory of geological education. It is necessary to coordinate training to a multicomponent of problems of geological studying of a subsoil.

LARGE AND UNIQUE DEPOSITS OF SOLID MINERALS ARCTIC REGION

Authors reviewed the results of the joint work within the framework of the international project «The Circum-Arctic Mineral Resources Project» from 2011 to 2016. It is describes the structure of the map «Metal and Mineral Deposit of the Arctic» and the overview «Mineral Resources in the Arctic» and the main steps of their creation.

GEOLOGICAL STRUCTURE OF THE ZONE OF THE JOINT OF THE LAPTEVOMORSKY SHELF AND SIBERIAN PLATE

The geological structure of the conjunction zone of the Laptev shelf and the Siberian Plate was studied based on 2D CDP reflection seismic data. Normal faults, reverse faults, reverse-thrust faults, strike-slip faults and salt diapirs were revealed on time seismic sections. The Lena-Taymyr Zone of Boundary Highs, with the South Taymyr prominence and the Kharaulakh zone, were revealed on a revised schematic tectonic map of the Laptev Sea and the northwestern margin of the Siberian Plate.

REFRACTORY AND REFRACTORY CLAY SULINA STRATA OF THE SOUTHERN SLOPE OF THE EASTERN DONBASS

We have rewived the status of the mineral resource base of refractory and ceramic clay raw materials of the Rostov region within it was suggested to allocate two areas of the presence of clay: Sulinsky and Belokalitvensky. This article describes the clay deposits in these areas, including Prokhorovskoye which now taken into account by the State balance of mineral, composition and properties of it, as well as suggestions are introduced for their further stady.

PROSPECTS OF EXPLORING FOR ATLANTIC POLYMETALLIC SULPHIDES

The results of geological and geophysical work on Atlantic polymetallic sulphides carried out under a contract with the ISA. We analyzed the methodological techniques used in the identification and delineation of sulphide ores. Estimated resources of the Russian exploration area, which amounted to 101.7 million tons of ore. It outlined objectives for further study of polymetallic sulphides area, using the already proven and new geological and geophysical approaches.

NONANTICLINAL TRAPS HYDROCARBONS AS-WIDE PROSPECTS OF OBJECTS IN SOUTH-WESTERN KARA SEA SHELF

Traditionally, the main petroleum potential of the Kara Sea shelf is confined to large local structures by analogy with the Rusanovskoye and Leningradskoye fields known and unique in terms of reserves and the Pobeda field discovered in 2014 within the Universitetskaya structure. This paper covers the results of geophysical studies carried out within the Pripaikhoiskaya monocline which has enabled to identify and estimate large nonanticlinal hydrocarbon (HC) traps in terms of their prospectivity levels.

MACRO- AND MICROELEMENT COMPOSITION OF AUGUSTOVSKY UNDERGROUND WATER DEPOSIT JEWISH AUTONOMOUS REGION

It was assessment quality of three sections of Augustovsky drinking groundwater deposit – «Augustovsky», «Aremovsky» and «Sopka», provides drinking water for population of Birobidzhan, the administrative center of the Jewish Autonomous Region. It has been found that groundwater contain 66 elements, which dominating macro elements – Ca, Na, Mg, S. It is shown that concentration of 34 from studied elements in groundwater deposit sites conform to standards.

THE DEEP HYDROCAR EQUIPPED WITH THE BORING CHISEL WITH REAKTIVNYM THE MOMENT OF FORCES

A deep hydraulic machine design equipped with a chisel with reluctance torque forces for drilling provides for full use of the potential energy of the working fluid for the establishment of security settings. For technical and energy performance, as well as technological possibilities depth hydraulic machine, small-sized in length and economical consumption of the working fluid, the most appropriate to the circumstances of drilling multilateral wells. In the future, deep hydraulic machine of different sizes in each variant design can be an effective means of drilling for oil and gas wells, underground water, building materials, sinking shafts and pits. The introduction of hydraulic deep in the mineral resources creates the prerequisites for the transition to a downhole method of mining, instead of mine, quarry, etc.

GEOECOLOGICAL PROBLEMS IN THE CASE OF THE ORGANIZATION OF WORK ON THE SHALE GAS EXTRACTION

The article considers geoecological problems in the case of the organization of work on the shale gas extraction by the method of hydraulic fracturing. Noted the importance of geological and hydrogeological factors that affect the possibility of pollution of aquifers, the zone of active water exchange. The problem of a possibility of pollution of groundwater in shale gas similar to a problem of creation and operation of landfills underground disposal of liquid hazardous industrial waste therefore it is necessary to impose to the subsoil plots of the same requirements as for landfills underground disposal of liquid waste.

REPRESSED, BUT NOT BROKEN SCIENTIST (TO THE 130-TH ANNIVERSARY OF N.M. FEDOROVSKY BIRTHDAY)

Fedorovskiy N.M. (1886-1956) a prominent scientist and organizer of mining, Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences, doctor of geological-mineralogical sciences, Professor. He was the first director of the All-Union (now All-Russian) Scientific-research Institute of Mineral Resources. He was slandered and condemned in the period of mass repressions (1937- 1938), but as a prisoner, continued to work productively.
