THE ROLE OF THE RUSSIAN RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF MINERAL RAW MATERIALS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF MINERAL RESOURCES BASE OF RUSSIA

FSBI « VIMS» – industry-leading Institute in the realm, of a complex study of the mineral resources base of solid minerals. The work of specialists allowed by the mid 30`s to overcome the dependence of certain strategic minerals. The range of work of the Institute repeatedly modified and significantly widened. The collective has made great strides in the development of the mineral resource base for the nuclear industry and ferrous metallurgy. For today, the collective does a lot of informational-analytical and experimental-methodological support of geological study. Consequently, publication activity is increasing in industry journals.

RUSSIAN RAW MINERAL POWER: MYTH OR TRUTH?

The article comprises expert overview on contemporary raw mineral base and raw mineral complex in Russia from perspective of hard minerals market demand. General position of mineral development in Russia in the light of geographic location as well as reserves quality of licensed deposits is considered to be poor. Over one third of all licensed deposits are not placed into development stages due to low technical and economic values. State subsoil fund of deposits proposed for licensing is excessive of projects with unclear mining potential due geotechnical, economic, environmental and/or infrastructure challenges. It is justified in the article to run state balance of hard minerals through technical and economic revaluation in consider to realistic economic scenario.

THE ROLE AND IMPORTANCE OF APPLIED GEOCHEMISTRY IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GENERAL GEOLOGICAL OBJECTIVES OF THE STATE PROGRAM «THE REHABILITATION AND USE OF NATURAL RESOURCES»

The role of geological and geochemical works in different scales is shown for implementing the objectives of the State program of the Russian Federation «The Rehabilitation and Use of Natural Resources». Major achievements of IMGRE as a head research institute in geology in the last decade are demonstrated as well as their dimensions and efficiency on the basis of the results of works conducted in 2015. The importance is revealed of implementing the State program and of elaborating the strategy of development of mineral resources base of RF until 2030. Measures are substantiated that are aimed at increasing the role of regional works focusing on prognostic and search potential by conducting outrunning specialized geological and mineragenic research. A complex is proposed of research work, which involves thematic and experimental and methodological works with expected results.

PROBLEMS AND THE WAY OF THE REALIZATION OF TECHNOLOGICAL RECONSTRUCTION IN THE GEOPHYSICAL SEGMENT OF THE GEOLOGICAL SURVEY WORKS

Under the contemporary conditions geophysical information is the basis of the geological study of depths. By apparatus- technical means are the initial component of obtaining geological-geophysical data. The analysis of the engineering and technical state of field instruments and equipment with performing of geological survey work testifies about the need for their comprehensive modernization and the renovations. For obtaining reliable geological-geophysical initial specifications the equipment must be certified in the routine and in the correspondence with the requirements of federal laws in the region of metrology. In the article basic problems and possible methods of their solution in the region of the engineering and technical guarantee of geological survey works in Russia are touched upon. THE STATE, PROBLEMS AND TASKS OF THE DOMESTIC HYDROGEOLOGY, ENGINEERING GEOLOGY, GEOCRYOLOGY AND GEOECOLOGY

There are presented the most basic results on the main directions of the investigations: regional hydrogeological, engineering-geological, geocryological works and mapping, evaluation of groundwater resource base, assessment and prediction of hazardous exogenic processes, assessment of geodynamic situation and prediction of seismic hazard. For each direction the existing problems are stated and the tasks are defined for the nearest prospect.

THE MAIN DIRECTIONS OF IMPROVEMENT OF TECHNICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL SUPPORT OF EXPLORATION WORK

The work is devoted to an actual problem of studying the state of active and abandoned mining geophysics methods – GRP and seismic. The high efficiency of GRP research in the study of the workings flooded areas that are inaccessible to direct examination. Nakamura spectra were analyzed weak microseismic waves and waves of mass industrial explosions.

RESEARCH OF TORSIONAL SELF-OSCILLATIONS IN A COLUMN OF BORING PIPES BY METHODS OF ELECTROMECHANICAL ANALOGIES AND SIMULATION MODELING

Solves the problem of the development of a computer simulation model of the drill string rotating in an environment with resistance proportional to the velocity of movement of the column, in the software package MATLAB (Simulink) using the method of electromechanical analogies.

MEDICAL GEOLOGY IN THE ACTIVITIES OF RUSSIAN GEOLOGICAL SOCIETY

Medical geology is an actual branch in the Earth sciences. There obtained some important results by the scientists who have worked in the field of geology and health in the last decades. These results are shown in many publications and proceedings of scientific conferences of a different rank. This paper demonstrates some results which were obtained by scientists from the Russian Geological Society as well as their foreign colleagues working in the field of Medical Geology. The knowledge of Medical Geology should be eagerly sought in the near future because of realization of stages signed into law by the Russian Government Strategy 2030 and for realization many other Government strategies targeted on economic development of Siberia and the Far East as well as preservation of human capital.

THE CONCEPT OF GEOLOGICAL STUDYING OF SUBSOIL PLOTS FOR BURIAL OF THE HARMFUL LIQUID WASTE (HLW) IN THEM

The modification of the method of successive approximations, which is based on a systematic approach of geological exploration of the potential landfill, is presented in this paper. Also the principles of implementation of exploration and assessment of the operational capacity of the reservoir as a system are discussed. The original rationale for inclusion of subsoil plots to a group under the terms of the complexity of the study and development is offered.
