SOLID MINERALS MINING POTENTIAL OF ARCTIC REGION OF RUSSIA

Shown an importance of the Arctic Region of Russia (ARR) in mineral resources base and solid minerals mining in country. Noted leading place (80-100 %) ARR in mining of apatit, tantalium, niobium, REE, nickel, cobalt, PGM, chromium, diamonds, zirconium, antimony, fossil ivory; and also important (30-60%) – in mining of copper, bauxites, gold, silver and appreciable – in iron ore and coal. Low level of the exploration of the region and geological assumptions allow to expect of finding of new deposits and significant solid minerals resources gain.

NEW DATA ON ORE SCALES, GENETIC AND MINERALOGY-GEOCHEMICAL FEATURES OF URANIUM BEREZOVOYE AND GORNOYE DEPOSITS (CENTRAL TRANSBAIKALIA)

U-deposits Berezovoye and Gornoye (Central Transbaikalia) it was intensively studied in the 70-80th years of the last century. A number of important details of mineralogy and geological zonality of ores of these fields in many aspects remained not studied well because of what the scale of an ore was underestimated, inexact was an assessment of stocks. During the researches conducted at the modern level in 2009-2013 new data on mineralogy, a structure of ore bodies and genesis of an uranium mineralization are obtained. The reasons of not additional recovery of useful components are established and production improvement methods are offered. Stone material from a core of new prospecting wells (Berezovoye) and technological test from an (Gornoye) became material for research.

TYPOMORPHISM OF PLACER GOLD AND EVIDENCE OF PRESENCE OF GOLD OCCURRENCES OF FINE-DISPERSED GOLD IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE LENA-ANABAR TROUGH

As a result of study of typomorphic features of gold from complex gold-diamondiferous occurrence of the Polovinnaya river (southern part of the Lena-Anabar trough), it is identified that, Jurassic, Cretaceous and Cenozoic intermediate reservoirs were the major sources of placer gold. Discovery of gold particles of ore habit, fraction -0,1 mm, as well as debris of pyritizated auriferous rocks indicate presence of ore occurrences of fine-dispersed gold in the studied area.

UPPER PALEOZOIC MAGMATISM: GEOLOGICAL GENETIC MODEL OF EPIMAGMATOGENE MINERALIZATION (CHATKALO-KURAMINSKY ZONE)

At early stages of the Upper Paleozoic magmatism development the «basaltoid» melts form chlorophylic-chalcophylic types (Cu, Mo, Au, Pt, Pd) of epimagmatogene mineralization. Chlorophylic-chalcophylic mineralization is interchanged to fluorophylous (hydroxylic)-lithophylous type of mineralization (rare metals, rare earths, yttrium, uranium). Interacting of magmatism with a material of ancient (to Cm) continental type crust is an important result of the Upper Paleozoic and Early Mesozoic processes of magmatism and associated types of epimagmatogene mineralization development.

THE RESULTS OF MEASUREMENTS BY SPECTRAL INDUCED POLARIZATION ON LOW-CONTRAST MAGNETIC ANOMALIES

Isometric low-contrast magnetic anomalies are one of the main geophysical attributes when searching for diamond deposits. However, such anomalies may be caused by near-surface objects and, thus, not be perspective. The main purpose of the method of spectral induced polarization in this case is the classification of magnetic anomalies, clarifying their nature and depth. The efficiency of the method demonstrated in this paper.

THE RESULTS OF FIELD TESTING OF THE CORRELATION METHOD OF PULSE ELECTROMAGNETIC PROSPECTING SYSTEMS STEM

Field testing results of the new correlation transient electromagnetic method STEM as well as an experimental model of the system STEM-1 in Kaluga region, with typical platform section also, as well in two regions of Eastern Siberia in 2012-2014 are presented. The method STEM and the system STEM-1 had been designed for more depth penetration and resolution of oil and gas prospecting. All the electromagnetic STEM soundings were followed and compared with the TEM sounding in the same areas and in equal terms.

EVALUATION OF KARST PROCESS BY USING CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF WATERS IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF MAIN GAS PIPELINES

This study focuses on the use of geotechnical information to identify the effect of chemical composition of ground water in karst development process. We calculated an index of non-equilibrium water relative to calcite according to available data of geotechnical investigations for the designed main gas pipeline “Power of Siberia” (first section Chayanda-Lensk). It is analyzed the relationship between geomorphological features of the terrain and aggressiveness of natural waters.

OPTIMIZATION OF COMPLEX POWER SUPPLY OF GEOLOGICAL AND PROSPECTING WORKS ON THE BASIS OF TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC MODELLING

The analysis of the considered group of production power consumers – drilling rigs of prospecting drilling is carried out, possible options of power supply, characteristic for standard conditions of production of works, are considered as standard options of complex power supply of prospecting technological objects. Progressive dependence of increase in limit distance of connection of drilling rigs of prospecting drilling to power sources by power supply option from mobile diesel power station with warmth utilizer is established. Economic efficiency of utilization of warmth the diesel units of power complexes in interests of heat supply of drilling rigs of prospecting drilling when drilling prospecting wells is also revealed.

PROSPECTS OF EXPANSION OF MINERAL RESOURCES BASE IN TRANS-BAIKAL REGION

Short description of Charo-Olekminskaya granite-greenstone area has been given. Typing of greenstone belts, based on their structure and composition, has been offered. The species of ores in Holbolok-Uraginskoe apatite deposit, characteristic of their material composition and technological properties have been considered, morphology of the ore bodies has been described. Results of technical and economic calculations have been shown.
