CONTRIBUTION OF VIMS TO THE INVESTIGATION OF KERCHIAN IRON ORES
The history of the Kerchian iron-ore basin is considered. The data on the contribution of the VIMS’s specialists to the investigation of this problem are presented. The role of the geologists, mineralogists, technologists of the institute who proved the complexity of the ores and showed their mineralogical-geochemical peculiarities is shown. The technological schemes of the industrial exploitation of the objects with obtainment of the products of various applications were also developed with their significant contribution.

STRUCTURE AND ORE MINERALISATION OF THE AMESMESSA MINERAL DEPOSIT IN ALGERIAN SAHARA
The geological structure, mineralogical and geochemical features of a Amesmessa gold mineral deposit located in In-Uzzal region of a shield Hoggar (the Algerian Sahara) are described. The ore object has Proterozoic age and belongs to gold quartz – low-sulfide formation. Basis of its structure and a standard geological situation of ore veins location are fault paragenesis that had arisen in process of development big fault zone during the Ebourneisky tectonic and magmatic cycle. This object belongs to a formation typical for the metallogeny of zones green of belts of ancient shields and has good prospects of accumulation of the ore resource potential.

GEOELECTRIC MODEL OF THE CENTRAL PART OF ALTAI-SAYAN REGION
Application of a method magnetotelluric sounding, in view of the given methods of exchange waves of earthquakes and deep seismic sounding, has allowed with the help of the device 3-D modeling МТ of fields to solve a return problem magnetotelluric sounding and to allocate areas possible hydrothermal useful minerals. They concentrate near to the deep breaks described by lowered specific electric resistance, connected and with the raised contents of a fluid in a matrix of rocks. To the given attribute in limits of Altai – Sayan region the map of zones perspective on minerals is made.

TECHNICAL SUPERVISION DURING CONSTRUCTION OF WATER WELLS
It is proposed to improve the quality of construction of water wells by segments-rhenium supervising. The authors note that supervisor, through proper monitoring of drilling technology, carrying out of water-supply well functional test, as well as realizing of incoming control, can significantly reduce the number of faults during water-supply well construction. The most suitable supervising specialists will be «Groundwater hydrology and engineering geology» and «Environmental engineering and water consumption» graduates.

NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF MICROBIALLY INDUCED CALCITE PRECIPITATION AND ITS INFLUENCE ON THE PERMEABILITY OF SOIL
Abstract Microbially Induced Calcite Precipitation (MICP), a bio-mediated cementation process that improves the geotechnical properties of soils. The current study presents a numerical model for microbially induced calcite precipitation predicting the reduction of permeability over time due to biomineralization in fracture of rocks and prevention of a leakage from CO2 storage reservoirs. The results shows the permeability of the fracture-layer can decrease by the factor of 3 in a radius of 5 meters from injection position

RUSSIAN SEABED SEISMIC TECHNOLOGY ADOPTED FOR SHALLOW WATER AND TRANSITION ZONES
Key elements of seabed seismic technology developed by Seismo-Shelf and results its testing in framework of 2D/4C seismic survey in the transition zone of Pechora Sea characterized with very complicated geological and hydrological conditions are presented. Advantages of proposed technology application for seamless profiling of offshore and onshore geological structures are demonstrated.

TOWARDS LITHOLOGICAL MAPS OF SEAFLOOR IN SETS OF THE STATE GEOLOGICAL MAPS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Lithological maps of the seafloor surface duplicate the information displayed in other geological maps included in sets of the State Geological Maps. At the same time, excessively disintegrated distinguishing of granulometric varieties of bottom sediments obscures the deposition regularities in the sedimentation basin. Expedience of such maps is doubtful.
