SELEMDZHINSKAYA GOLD-PLACER SYSTEM OF THE AMUR GOLD-BEARING PROVINCE

Information is provided on the Selemdzha placer system of the Tokursky ore-placer node of the Amur gold-bearing province, from which more than 60 tons of gold were extracted. It is shown that the system has a tree-like pattern with the stem part in the form of a placer of the Selemdzhi River, crossing the area of the ore-placer node in the sublatitudinal direction. It includes rich placers located in the submeridionally oriented valleys of the right, to a lesser extent the left tributaries of the Selemdzhi River. The sources of placers are deposits and manifestations of the gold-quartz formation, represented by low-sulfide quartz veins.

GENERALIZED EXPERIENCE OF LITHOCHEMICAL EXPLORATION FOR GOLD-POLYSULFIDE MINERALIZATION AT A NUMBER OF SITES IN EASTERN SIBERIA

The article discusses the reasons for the low efficiency of geochemical prospecting methods at present. The results of some experimental and methodological works are proposed. Examples of effective multi-scale geochemical prospecting works for gold are given. The article may be useful for specialists conducting general and geochemical prospecting, as well as for students of specialized universities.

MODERN SEISMIC EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIES FOR GEOLOGICAL STUDY, PROSPECTING AND EXPLORATION OF SOLID MINERAL DEPOSITS

The potential of modern seismic methods at the regional, prospecting and exploration stages of geological exploration for solid minerals located in overlapping deposits is characterized. Examples of the use of DSS and CDP data to identify ore zones (fields), regions and local areas, also high-density reflection and refracted waves methods, MASW, the microseismical sounding method and holographic processing of seismic waves for the purpose of predicting areas (objects) with possible ore deposits and local ore concentrations are given.

EUDIALYTE: A BRIEF REVIEW OF RESEARCH INTO PROCESSING TECHNOLOGIES ABROAD

The article provides a brief description of the unique properties of eudialyte, and of the ores of the main eudialyte deposits in the world. The experience of foreign studies on the development of upgradation technologies for eudialyte ores and hydrometallurgical processing of eudialyte concentrates is analyzed and summarized. It is shown that the main technological problem is the formation of silica gel in the process of acid leaching of eudialyte concentrates. The main solutions for minimizing the formation of silica gel are listed, the most effective being the process of low-water digestion. The exploratory nature of the studies carried out so far is established.

VERKHNE-GLUKHARINSKAYA PLACER OF THE VALLEY-DEPRESSION (MAGADAN REGION) AS A LARGE-VOLUME PLACER DEPOSIT OF A NON-TRADITIONAL TYPE

Using special enrichment equipment (screw separator and screw sluice), an assessment of the gold content was made outside the industrial contours of the worked-out gold-bearing strata in the Verkhne-Glukharinskaya depression. The conducted testing allows us to consider the depression as a large-volume placer deposit with very small and fine gold with predicted metal resources of about 40 tons.

MATERIALS ON THE GEOLOGICAL STRUCTURE OF DEPOSITS — A SOURCE OF BASIC INITIAL DATA FOR MINING PROJECTS

The article presents material on the analysis of the geological structure of the deposit and the conditions of its location as sources for the formation of a set of primary (basic) source data for the preparation of design solutions for the systematic development of mining production and its adaptation to the infrastructural features of the location area. Changes are envisaged in the preparation of initial data regarding the involvement of off-balance sheet minerals in the extraction, the use of overburden and host rocks, and field modeling. Suggested restrictions: 1) the section should contain only the information that can be used in the preparation of design decisions; 2) the list of initial data can be specified in each specific case, taking into account the mining and geological conditions, the type of mineral and the technology of field development.

PROSPECTS FOR THE ASSOCIATED EXTRACTION OF TITANIUM-ZIRCONIUM RAW MATERIALS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF DEPOSITS OF COMMON MINERALS

The aim of the work is to draw the attention of subsurface users to the existing problem of enriching sands and obtaining associated titanium-zirconium concentrate during their deep processing. Within the Voronezh Anteclise (VA), heavy fraction minerals are found in terrigenous deposits from six eras of placer formation. Even promising deposits, such as the Central Placer, remain undeveloped due to low profitability. An integrated approach to the extraction of the entire range of minerals, including titanium minerals, makes such facilities attractive for investment.

ANALYSIS OF REACTIVATION OF LANDSLIDES DURING ANTI-LANDSLIDE MEASURES

Landslide displacements of soil are usually associated with erosion of the slope of the Oka River, tributaries and ravines for the territory of the Kaluga region. The article discusses the features of the formation and mechanism of landslides using the example of two sites, the activation occurred in 2022 and 2023 in the city of Kaluga and near the village of Ferzikovo. Analysis of the sequence of slope deformation allows us to conclude that anti-landslide engineering protection provoked the formation of landslides. In geotechnical practice, in recent years, many cases of construction on slopes and the reaction of the geological environment to intervention have accumulated. Typical errors were incomplete anti-landslide measures, natural factors that could affect the stability of the slope were not taken into account, which necessitated repeated measures, which include: engineering and geological research, identification and analysis of the causes of landslides, calculation of slope stability, restoration of the roadway and landscaping of the recreational area.

VIMS EMPLOYEES ARE THE DISCOVERERS OF FERROUS METAL DEPOSITS

The discovery of new deposits is an important component of the development of the mineral resource base. Since the 1920s, VIMS employees have been actively involved in the study of the mineral resource base of ferrous metallurgy (Fe, Mn, Cr). Information is provided on awarding VIMS rehcbd specialists for their participation in the discovery of deposits.
