DISTRIBUTION FEATURES AND PROSPECTS OF MINING OF GOLD AND URANIUM ORES OF THE SEVERNOYE DEPOSIT
In the process of further exploration of the unique complex deposits of the Elkonsky ore district, a variety of technological types and grades of ores were revealed: non-oxidized and semi-oxidized gold-uranium with associated silver, vanadium and molybdenum; oxidized silver-gilded with associated uranium, zonally distributed in the context of deposits. The processing of oxidized ores is carried out in an open way, for non–oxidized ores, an underground mining method is being designed. To extract the main and associated components, it is necessary to use various technologies.

FORECAST AND PROSPECTING MODEL OF THE TUYUKAN URANIUM ORE CLUSTER AREA BASED ON THE EARTH REMOTE SENSING DATA AND STRUCTURAL-TECTONOPHYSICAL APPROACH
Based on the author’s approach using geoinformatic technologies, processing of Earth remote sensing data, using structural-geomorphological, spatial-geometric, spatial-density and tectonophysical methods for the Tuyukan uranium ore cluster it was possible to identify specific features of the development of the framework of faults, formulate and spatially visualize structural and tectonophysical criteria that determine the location of ore mineralization within the area. By standardizing and determining the weight coefficients of each criteria, a digital structural weight of evidence model was created, the accuracy of which, based on comparison with reference ore objects, was 81 %. This model serves as an important basis for a clearer setting of prospecting geological exploration work, primarily for uranium, within the boundaries of the state geological map O-49-XII.

REASSESSMENT OF THE URANIUM RESOURCE BASE OF PROSPECTIVE AREAS OF THE VITIMSKY URANIUM MINE DISTRICT, TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT OF THE SITUATION LEVEL OF THE PRODUCTIVE AQUIFER AND THE BOTTOM OF PERFORMANCE ROCKS
The article is devoted to assessing the increase in the uranium resource base of the Vitim uranium ore region due to the involvement of low-water deposits in the development. The authors carried out work to create a database of geological exploration results and develop a regional geofiltration model. As a result of modeling, maps of the roof and levels of the productive horizon were obtained. Comparison of maps made it possible to delineate poorly watered deposits, assess their resources and formulate recommendations for additional study of hydrogeological conditions.

HYDRODYNAMIC URANIUM MINERAL SYSTEMS AS A BASIS FOR FORECASTING ANCIENT SANDSTONE TYPE DEPOSITS
Hydrodynamic systems of various natures are activated in the zones of convergent interaction of tectonic plates and, under certain conditions, the processes of uranium ore formation in the sedimentary cover are concentrated on their boundaries. Historical reconstructions based on plate tectonics can be used as the basis for forecasting areas favorable for the formation of ancient sandstone type uranium deposits.

VIMS RESEARCH TO TEST THE HYPOTHESIS OF A POSSIBLE SHIFT IN THE 235U/238U ISOTOPE RATIO IN NATURE AND THE USE OF THIS PHENOMENON IN THE SEARCH FOR ANCIENT RICH URANIUM DEPOSITS
It was experimentally confirm the possibility of 235U/238U ratio shift in uranium ores, using the example of research by VIMS employees in 1970–1972 of the Severinskoye uranium deposit in the northern part of the Kirovograd uranium ore district. It varied towards both the «burnout» of 235U and its accumulation, depending on the conditions of mineralization localization and the nuclear transformations taking place in it. Information from the French Commissariat of Atomic Energy (CEA), on the discovery of a natural self-sustaining nuclear fission reaction on September 25, 1972, only confirmed the experimental results and conclusions of the VIMS scientists obtained earlier.

THE EXPERIENCE OF MINERAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL TESTING AND GEOTECHNOLOGICAL STUDIES OF ORES AT THE TUYUKANSK DEPOSIT
The article presents the results of low-volume mineralogical and technological testing conducted for the first time at the Tukan uranium deposit with the isolation of natural types of ores and their geotechnological research. As a result: the technological types of ores — granite and shale — have been identified; the features of uranium extraction have been determined. An increased percent-age of extraction was obtained with the predominance of proprietary uranium minerals in the ores, and underexploitation — with the predominance of sorbed (in titanates), impurity (in accesso-ry) and multicomponent gel forms of uranium. The urgency of processing uranium ore of granite composition by heap leaching is emphasized.
Keywords: low-volume mineralogical and technological testing, geotechnological properties of ores, mineral forms of a useful component, sulfuric acid leaching.

URANIUM ORE DISTRICT OF THE CAUCASIAN MINERAL WATERS CONTRIBUTION OF VIMS SPECIALISTS TO ITS FORMATION
The article highlights the role of VIMS specialists in the study of uranium deposits of a previously unknown genetic type in the area of Caucasian Mineral Waters. Not only the Beshtaugorskoye and Bykogorskoye deposits were discovered, but also ore extraction and processing were carried out in record time, due to the country’s high demand for uranium. In addition, new minerals have been identified and an original luminescent search method (including nighttime luminescence) has been developed.
