\nModern state of mineral and raw materials base for ferrous and alloying metals of Siberia and the Far East is given. The main problems confronting geological and mining companies are shown. When mastering mineral resources of these regions the primary regions must be the regions of realization for the largescale infrastructural invested projects of the state importance. The developing regions with exhausting mineral and raw materials base and with the former social-and-industrial complex must deserve the special interest for searching.
