\nLithofacies zoning of Jurassic deposits of Barents sea<\/span>
\nThe structure, composition and facies zoning of Jurassic deposits, Barents Sea, are described. The Early-Middle Jurassic stage of Barents Sea region development is characterized by the intensive uplift of source areas and abundant supplying clastic material into the basin of sedimentation. By Volgian time, considerable peneplanation was responsible for sedimentation \u201chunger\u201d. The Lower-Middle Jurassic deposits have been formed in the following lithofacies zones: continental, deltaic, and shelf; Upper Jurassic deposits \u2014 in near-shore \u2014 sea, shelf, clayey, and depression bituminous-clayey zones. \nGeochemical prediction of deposits of oil on anomalies of aromatic hydrocarbons<\/span>
\nIn clause results of the field geochemistry accompanying seismic prospecting, in Kogalym area of oil extracting are resulted. Direct forecasting of deposits of oil is executed on anomalies of concentration of aromatic hydrocarbons migrating to the surface. Three perspective sites within the limits of the Central-Kustovaya area are revealed, two of which are confirmed by drilling. For the third predicted site the cut of a possible trap (deposit) is offered. The products of the wash-out of its ancient crust of the weathering in the form of finely dispersed colloidal systems without the disturbances were transported (being incidentally sifted) by the sea currents through Western Ciscaucasia to the cross connection between the paleo-Black Sea and paleo-Caspian ponds, such was Stavropol arch. On its eastern plateau-like slope in the hereditary from the foundation tectonic cavities were formed offshore-marine and lagoon the Ti-Zr scatterings. \nGeodynamics regimes at Cenozoic and tectonic structure of the Kamchatsky peninsula<\/span>
\nThe geodynamic model of formation of Kamchatka region in Cenozoic is offered by results of generalization of the regional geological and geophysical information. The Mesozoic basement of the Western Kamchatka has moved on the east with a turn counter-clockwise and rift structure in Shelikhov’s gulf was formed under the catastrophic affecting in the beginning of Cenozoic. Cenozoic thick volcanic rocks and sediments of the Central and East Kamchatka lie down on the fragmented continental blocks. Frontal interaction between Kamchatka and the plate of the Pacific Ocean in Miocene has led to creation of an extended collision zone. Change of a direct collision on subduction in Pliocene has resulted from alteration of character of movement of the Pacific plate. As a result of such deformation gulfs of east coast of Kamchatka were occurred. At the present time blocks of the collision zone because of their high density and the big vertical thickness control volcanic activity of the peninsula. \nIn evaluating the predictive drinking groundwater resources an insufficient attention is given to their dynamics in time. The existing technique of their mapping requires to be improved. The evaluation should include mapping of the water quality in accordance with the appropriate requirements and take account of regularities in the linkage of groundwater resources with hydrogeological structures, development of integrated criteria for extrapolation of the predictive resources moduli from unstudied territories onto studied ones. It is necessary, especially in the permafrost zone, to estimate representativity of the used data from exploratory wells for evaluation of predictive resources. \nThe Isotopic-soil method (ISM) and its modern modifications are based on analysis of the isotopic ratios of 210Po, 210Pb, 234U, 238U in the subsoil layer, sodium bicarbonate extracts and plants in the known areas of isotopic anomaly. The realization of the ISM is provided by the up-to-date radiochemical and measuring methods and the usual equipment. At the present the ISM is being successfully used for prospecting different types of uranium deposits in the many regions of Russia. The deep of the ISM is up to 400 m. The comparative characteristic of devices of the gravitational enrichment intended for extraction of small and thin gold is resulted. \nErrant brines in salt sections and actions to take to study the brines and to protect salt mines<\/span>
\nThe brines in a salt section migrate under the impact subsurface pressure from higher-pressure areas to lower-pressure areas. Brine accumulations in the salt section, referred to as \u00abbrine bags\u00bb make the pressure difference sharply noticeable, as the salt density as twice as high as the brine density. Pressure in the salt excavation areas is tens of times lower than that in the surrounding subsurface (salt); so, the brines would be squeezed out into the excavated areas if even there are no fractures to facilitate the brine squeeze. This phenomenon is the prime explanation for flooding the majority of salt mines in the world. The authors of this article provide proof for this assumption by analyzing flood instances. Guidelines are provided to study accumulations of saline waters and brines in salt-bearing sections and measures to protect excavation localities (rock salt mines and potassium salt mines) from brine flooding by running geoscientific studies involving high-resolution seismic data derived from effective acoustic impedance sections and effective reflectance sections.
