New-built gold mines of Group \u00abPetropavlovsk\u00bb in the Amur region has produced more than 120 tons of gold since 1999. Now there are mines at Pokrovsky, Pioneer, Malomyr, Albyn and placer gold deposits. In addition to gold mining, titanomagnetite ores production was started at Kuranakh deposit and building Kimkano-Sutarsky iron ore plant in the Evreisky Autonomous Region is underway. Besides the mining the group consists of exploration companies, analytical laboratories, institutes and design organizations, pilot plant, repair and engineering works, a large construction company and college. To expand the resource base exploration is conducted on the flanks of the existing mines and in new areas, including the Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk areas, in the Yamal-Nenetsky Autonomous District and in Evreisky Autonomous Region. The assessment of mineral resources quality by mineralogical methods allows to obtain with low expenses the data on initial raw materials, its technological properties, to predict possible processing technology and manufacturing products quality. Requirements to the matter composition studying of ores and rocks are as follows: to use a complex of research methods, system approach to the analyses results and metrological standardization of all types mineralogical works.
