\nGeochemical parameters of dyke rocks from the Kostomuksha ore deposit: systematics of stable and radiogenic isotopes<\/span>
\nIn the area of Kostomuksha Fe-ore deposit it the were found dykes of alkaline-ultramafic rocks of different comosition, formation type and age. For some of dykes was estimated more ancient age than for known lamproite formation (1230 Ma). Isotopic systematics of Sr, Nd, C, O in the two groups of studied rocks are clearly different. To distinguish between these groups lamproites and other alkaline ultramafic rocks it is sufficient determination of isotopic composition of carbon and oxygen in carbonates. \nSome geological results of new seismic prospect in the Northern part of the Barents shelf<\/span>
\nNew seismic researches were carried out by JSC Marine Arctic Geological Expedition in 2006-2008. Actually, it was the first integrated geophysical works at a regular greed (20×30 km). The main purpose of this work was to study the geological structure of the sedimentary cover of the North Barents shelf and specify structural-tectonic plan of this water area at different stratigraphic levels. Geological results allowed to acquire new information on the tectonic structure of the north-eastern part of the Barents shelf, depositional environments, paleobasin geometry and bathymetry. Thus, it allows to understand the regional history of geological development. The geological interpretation of lower Paleozoic part of the section provided the most interesting results. \nOn task Rosnedra Agency, was developed a variation of method for prognosis a set of parameters of permafrost. The method is based on the use of results of long-term permafrost and meteorological monitoring, as well as valid for one occasion permafrost observations data. In order to test the method there were compiled the Map of Degradation of permafrost during the period 1970-2005 and the Forecast Map till 2020. The first map testifies the qualitative changes, which occurred in parameters of permafrost. Changes till the year 2020 are less significant. \nRevival of the Mama-Chuya mica-mining district: a substantiation of necessity and capability<\/span>
\nMama-Chuya mica-mining district is the largest in Russia and one of the largest in the world in terms of a value of sheet and flake muscovite resources. The region has favorable natural mining conditions and developed inner infrastructure. Since the 1990th the district has been experiencing a mica production decline initiated by the general collapse in Russian economics during the \u201cpost-perestroika\u201d period. Though the economics grew quickly and stably in the beginning of the XXI century, mica miningin the district was frozen in the declined state because of cooperation and trade dealings breakup. Now the lion\u2019s share of the mica market in Russia is supported by import. The district possesses sufficient resources in terms of mineral potential and infrastructure to satisfy all the requirements of Russian economics for a long-term period without any import. A series of actions are proposed in the paper which would be able promoting muscovite wide-scale extracting and primary manufacturing in the district due to increasing of an investment attraction for the mineral deposits, mine stimulating and raising of domestic mica materials competitive capacity. It includes X-ray-radio-metrical and magnetic separation. Using methods of agglomeration and hydro-metallurgical repartition, special products for metallurgical industry have been obtained. For example briquettes, high-quality manganese concentrate. Possibility of applying remains after developing in the glass industry has been estimated. \nSome specifics of detection of areas of intensive underground water discharge into rivers with the use of remote-sensing and hydrological methods<\/span>
\nThis article shows that in the context of opening up of water supply from underground and surface sources those river stretches where linear modulus of underground water discharge are several times as many as background values or a sequence higher of such values are the most perspective ones. Methods of detection of areas of intensive underground water discharge with the use of remote-sensing and hydrological methods are described, thus significantly simplifying the conduct of geological prospecting work with respect to underground waters. For the purpose of more precise determination of quantitative characteristics of underground water inflow the management of channel hydrochemical balance is used. \nChallenging trends in development of Theoretical and experimental Research in geology in the first quarter of the XI century<\/span>
\nScientific efforts in the assessment of long-range demand for theoretical and experimental research in the field of rational use of natural resources and protection of the environment were instrumental in disclosing tendencies in the development of scientific research in leading foreign countries and in Russia. The main direction is an integrated systems approach to resolving problems with the key specified issues which require experimental and theoretical investigations. It is manifested that in Russia R&D in creation and development of up-to-date high technologies needed for reproduction of natural resources and environmental protection is implemented in insufficient volumes which may lead to the menace for national technological security in the medium-range perspective.
