Conducting regional exploration for hydrocarbons and obtaining new geological data in areas of complex structure and high risk helps to attract subsoil users and increase the demand for the resource base. Analysis of the regional exploration of recent years in the North-West Federal District testifies to its high efficiency. The long-term plan of location of objects for exploration in the North-West Federal District is developed for the period up to 2020, implementation of which will maintain the pace of the compensation of oil production, made in recent years, with new reserves.
