Pressing issues and tasks of geoecology. Complex ecological assessment of territories<\/span><\/p>\n

The paper is devoted to the issues of organization of complex eco-geochemical research, which are topical because the research methods require further development. These are studies and monitoring of all environmental compartments; the analysis of consequences and the assessment of risk of changes in them; elaboration of recommendations to prevent health hazards of the population on the basis of the balance between ecological measures and social and economic development of the society. In this paper a number of global ecological problems are reflected that include soil degradation, pollution of the world ocean and the atmosphere and others. Problems are considered of insurance of ecological risks, involvement of scientific community in the discussion and expert review of ecological programs as well as in monitoring issues. \nThe results are presented of ecological and geochemical research on mercury and other chemical elements contained in the area of industrial megacity of Moscow, by studying their contents in pits of 1,2\u20131,4 m deep in soil horizons A, B and C (city soils and sod-podzol). Considerable pollution was revealed there. Treacherous toxic anthropogenic mercury in anomalous quantities was observed in plants, water, the atmosphere, soil air and bottom samples. In laboratories of several institutes, mercury vapor high concentrations were established that locally exceeded the maximum allowable concentrations of 10000 pg\/l noted in the work zone air of production units and factories working with mercury. Background contents of mercury vapor in the atmosphere of anomalous natural and anthropogenic zones make up 1 pg\/l. Geochemical characteristics of surface water of Sredneotubinskoe oil and gas-condensate deposit<\/span><\/p>\n

Main ion and microelement composition of surface water of Srednebotuobinskiy oil-gaseous-condensate field\u2019 area is studied. Marsh moderate taiga landscapes are developed there. The river Ulakhan-Botuobuya and its tributaries Telgespit, Kyurgelekh, Tas-Yurekh are the main rivers of the area. Type of surface water is fresh magnesium-calcium sulphatic. Using ICP-MS and ICP-AES elements La, Y, Be and other rare microelements are fixed in water samples. Using liquid-scintillation spectrometry method 3H content in water samples are determined. The technogenic pollution of surface water is revealed. According the authors opinion cavities of seven peaceful underground nuclear explosions are being the sources of microelements and technogenic radionuclides. Underground salty waters, enriched by radionuclides and microelements, infiltrate up through weakened near well\u2019 zones, through zones of tectonic faults. Traps \u2014 intrusive rock are widespread in the area, and their cracked contact zones may be the third type of geological structure for radionuclides and microelements up moving. Oil and oil products extraction, transportation, refining and storage inevitably cause environmental pollution. Environmental harm can be completely compensated by adsorbing media application. Tripoli-organic composite (TOC) \u2014 is a high effective sorbent, that consist of peat moss, clinoptilolyte-containing tripoli and modification additives. Due to this fact, TOC can moreover adsorb oil but biologically destroy it with microorganisms that peat contains. On July 31, 1982 near the village of Osa of Irkutsk region produced an underground nuclear explosion for peaceful purposes. The explosion produced with violation of safety, which resulted in the discharge of radioactive inert gases, which is confirmed by the radiation research of soils, slices of trees, groundwater, bones of cattle. Due to this, the local population has received a high dose of radiation that is reflected in state of health of the irradiated people, as well as the health of their children. Developed in Russia technology multipurpose geochemical mapping (MPGM) provides geochemical data on the complex conjugate of environmental components (bedrocks, stream sediments, soil, water, plants). Created by eco-geochemical maps are aimed at identifying the components of the modern structure of the environmental pollution, an environmental condition of the territories subjected to anthropogenic pressure. The results proved the possibility of MPGM used to use this technology in eco-geochemical assessment of areas of various economic development.
